Align Actions with Vision and Goals
Most corporations have a lofty mission statement, with wonderful
values, but very few live up to them. Areas where a corporation is
out of alignment create a situation where an employee's personal
goals may be at odds with the corporation's. (For
example, if a company has a value or a goal around teamwork,
"employee of the month" is counter-productive.) Every way
in which an employee is measured and/or rewarded must
be checked for alignment with the vision and values.
